In Barranquilla, Montería and Cartagena there are initiatives with bioclimatic designs that represent energy savings.
The VIMO 2017 fair puts its focus on green construction focused on bioclimatic designs, where the implementation of natural materials that contribute significantly to energy savings while providing social, economic and environmental benefits predominates.
The Real Estate Showcase of the Caribbean gathers an offer of more than 5,000 houses of the strata 2 to 6 and in it 65 exhibitors participate. It takes place during this weekend at Puerta de Oro, Caribbean Events Center and is organized by Camacol Atlántico and Corferias.
Projects such as Viverdi Reserva are a sample of sustainable initiatives, located in the axis of the Barranquilla – Cartagena corridor, as well as Sky Condominio, in Montería, both of Palacio Construcciones, the first company to obtain the LEED Gold level certification in Latin America in the residential category with the ViVerdi 84 building, located in Barranquilla and which was already in the Real Estate Showcase of the Caribbean 2016.
Guillermo Alonzo, architect and manager of Greener Consultores, highlights that a green construction takes into account bioclimatic factors of the sector where it rises in terms of the orientation and characteristics of the winds, lighting, and humidity, to determine the orientation of the apartments or houses and to make the most of natural resources.
To this is added LEED lighting of minimum consumption, air conditioning equipment and high efficiency pumps, lighting control sensors in public areas, sensors in private areas and home automation systems expandable.
Under these concepts, the Viverdi Reserva project is offered in VIMO, located in 70 hectares surrounded by nature on the axis of the conurbation of Barranquilla and Cartagena, with three types of houses, Country, Loft, and Exclusive, a communal park, access and security private, ecotourism trails, tennis courts, outdoor gyms, camping and BBQ areas, shopping center, social lounge, soccer field with FIFA standards, swimming pools, lakes, WIFI areas and bike paths.
This type of projects have a network of rainwater collection and condensation of air conditioners for use of toilets that enhance the economic, ecological factors and reduce by 30% the use of energy, by 35% CO2 emissions , 45% water consumption, and 80% solid waste, since they are designed for natural and economic savings.
